Thermodynamic Properties of CaNdAlO4-SrNdAlO4 Solid Solutions

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

The structural and thermodynamic properties of CaNdAlO4-SrNdAlO4 solid solutions are studied at 1673 K by x-ray diffraction and high-temperature calorimetry. The lattice parameters and unit-cell volume of the solid solutions are shown to vary linearly with composition. The measured heats of solid solution are used to evaluate the enthalpies of formation from the constituent oxides and constituent elements and the mixing enthalpies.
