Abstract
CuGa5Te8 single crystals were grown by the Bridgman method, and their composition, melting point, and lattice parameter were determined. Near-edge transmission and reflection measurements in the range 10–300 K were used to determine the band gap of CuGa5Te8 as a function of temperature.
