Abstract
The compound Mn3Sb is prepared for the first time, using high-pressure high-temperature synthesis in the Mn-Sb system. According to x-ray diffraction results, Mn3Sb has a cubic structure with a = 0.3998 nm, in which Mn sits in position 3c (0 1/2 1/2) and Sb sits in position 1a (000) of space group Pm3m (no. 221).
