Experimental results on the deformation of a coupled elastic system consisting of a cantilever plate and a support rod and subjected to a long plane acoustic shock wave are discussed. Nonstationary strains were measured using a PC with an LMS SCADAS Mobile high-precision eight-channel front-end (Belgium)
