Abstract

In this article, we study the production and decay of the \(Z'\) boson predicted by the \(U(1)_{B-L}\) model, which is phenomenologically appealing. To carry out this purpose, we consider the process \(\mu ^+\mu ^- \rightarrow Zh \rightarrow l^+l^-b\bar{b}\) with the subsequent decay of Z to pairs of leptons and of h to pairs of bottom quarks with \(l=e, \mu\). The study is realized in the resonance of the \(Z'\) boson and for the energies and luminosities of a future muon collider of \(\sqrt{s}= 3, 4, 5, 6\) TeV and \(\mathcal{L}=1, 2, 3, 4\) \(\mathrm ab^{-1}\). Our results show that the cross-section depends significantly on the center-of-mass energy of the collider and the parameters of the \(U(1)_{B-L}\) model. The possibility of performing precision measurements for the \(Z'\) boson is very promising at the future muon collider, and our results may be helpful to the High Energy Physics community.
