Abstract

The fragmentation of the vector QQ diquark into the triply heavy baryons of \({\Omega }_{QQQ}^{\frac {1}{2}}\) and \({\Omega }_{QQQ}^{\frac {3}{2}}\) is one of the possible senario in the baryon production. This motivates us to study the possibility of producing such baryons in vector QQ diquark fragmentation. For this purpose, we calculate the fragmentation functions of these baryons in \(cc\rightarrow {\Omega }_{ccc}^{\frac {1}{2}}\), \(cc\rightarrow {\Omega }_{ccc}^{\frac {3}{2}}\), \(bb\rightarrow {\Omega }_{bbb}^{\frac {1}{2}}\) and \(bb\rightarrow {\Omega }_{bbb}^{\frac {3}{2}}\), fragmentation processes at leading order of pQCD. Our results show that the fragmentation probabilities between one-two order of magnitude is larger than the case which obtained from direct c and b quark fragmentation.
