Atomic Spatial Decoherence in a Squeezed Cavity Field

Abstract

A moving two-level atom with momentum p is put into a single mode of a cavity field in the squeezed coherent state. An approximate expression of decoherence factor of the space is obtained. Our results show that the decoherence factor is mainly determined by two elements: the coherent parameter β and the squeezed parameter r, and the effects of them are discussed in detail, respectively.
