Quality and Effectiveness of Waterproofing Geosynthetic Materials Under Natural Conditions

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

We present the results of search for the optimal method of studying the operation of waterproofing geosynthetic materials (GSMs) on an experimental site under natural conditions. We provide examples of the use of GSMs in the practice of hydraulic engineering construction, which reveals the importance of these materials. The prototypes of testing fields and their shortcomings are analyzed for using waterproofing GSMs in hydraulic engineering. Furthermore, this study presents the author’s invention “Basin for testing waterproofing geosynthetic materials (GSMs) under natural conditions,” its design characteristics, capabilities, and modifications.
