Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

The article considers the possibility of a practical assessment of the filtration situation in the rock bases of high concrete dams under construction and in operation. Amethod that allows obtaining online a general picture of the filtration state at the base of a concrete dam based on an array of readings from a piezometric observation network is proposed. The wide possibilities of analysing the results obtained for assessing the stress-strain state (SSS) of the dam-rock massif system containing a dam with a reservoir are shown.
