Preservation and Restoration of the Volumetric Structure of Concrete, Taking into Account the Optimization of Operating Costs During the Life Cycle of Hydraulic Structures

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

This article discusses the issues of ensuring the safety of the volumetric structure of concrete (VSC) of operable designs of hydraulic structures and the issues of restoring the damaged VSC in the context of optimizing the operation costs throughout the life cycle of hydraulic structures (HS). The main approaches to the choice of rational technical solutions for the restoration of VSC are identified. An engineering and economical comparison of standard technical solutions for the restoration of VSC in the characteristic zones of HSs was performed, namely, above-water (“dry”), splash zone, and underwater.
