The paper presents the results of a number of studies carried out in recent years at JSC “Vedeneev VNIIG” for determining the impacts of wave and ice loads on various offshore hydraulic structures (HS) and assessing the stability of these structures. During the determination of hydrodynamic impacts on offshore hydraulic structures, both physical modeling and calculation methods, including numerical modeling, were used. Ice impacts were determined on the basis of computational methods and the analysis of hydrometeorological survey data. The stability and strength of hydraulic structures under various impacts were determined using the ABAQUS and PLAXIS software packages. In addition, the development and improvement of domestic regulatory documents related to the design, construction, and operation of the offshore HS was carried out.
