On the initiative of the PJSC Mosenergo, possible alternatives of cooling of cycle air of the gas-turbine units of the combined-cycle power plant (CCPP) were compared within the framework of the 2015 feasibility study and the 2017 research and development (approved at Techncial Expert Council No. 13 of the LLC Gazpromenergoholding) to choose a unit with an evaporative cooler manufactured by the Roxor company (Sweden – Russia). In the period from 10/30/2018 to 11/30/2018, construction and installation work was carried out, followed by the installation of evaporator and moisture-trap cassettes in the period from 5/20/2019 to 5/24/2019 (planned shutdown of the CCPP). The results of tests intended to determine the efficiency of the evaporation unit in the climatic conditions of Moscow and to develop a parameter chart for CCPP-450 unit of Mosenergo CHPP-20 are presented. Recommendations on further use of such installations in the Mosenergo power system are given.
