Semiconductor Voltage Regulators-Stabilizers for Distribution Networks

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

The article describes the issues of the operation of semiconductor regulators-stabilizers of alternating voltage for distribution networks (PRSPN). The relevance of using this class of devices is formulated. An approach to the PRSPN construction based on the use of a booster transformer and a thyristor commutator is indicated. The functional capabilities of the implemented PRSPN are shown on the example of a commercial prototype. The results of the PRSPN experimental-industrial operation performed in the electrical power networks of MRSK Tsentra PJSC — Belgorodénergo (subsidiaries and associates of Rosseti PJSC) confirmed the efficiency of the device and its high technical and economic indicators. The effects of the introduction of the device, as well as the prospects for its development and application are demonstrated.
