A Study of the Interaction of Waves with a Perforated Vertical Wall

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

A technique is described and results presented from laboratory-based model studies of the construction of a wall of hollow blocks possessing wave-damping properties. Practical conclusions regarding estimation of the general stability of the wall and the effectiveness of an existing damping chamber that induces attenuation of the reflection of waves and of the wave load, the elevation marks of the peak of the superstructure, etc. are formulated on the basis of an analysis of the data.
