Impact of the Formation and Accumulation of Homogeneous Ferriguinous Compounds on the Condition and Efficiency of Earthen Dam Drainage at Nizhegorodskaya HPP

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

Results are presented for a study of the reasons for the formation and accumulation of homogeneous ferriferous compounds in the drainage system of earthen dams at the Nizhegorodskaya HPP. Measures are described for monitoring the process of iron oxide deposition (ochering), along with steps for cleaning and repairing drainage.
