The principles, procedures, and results of construction of a detailed three-dimensional geologic-engineering model of the rock mass in the bed of the arch-gravity dam at the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP, and also methods of transforming this model into individual geomechanical models of the mass under investigation — models of the elastic, deformation, and strength properties, which are used in performing a series of check analyses of the stress-strain state of the “dam-bed-reservoir” system and evaluating the stability of the dam at the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP are discussed.
