Twelve years’ experience of successful adoption and operation of E-820 circular-furnace boiler

The design of the E-820 boiler and the way it was installed at the Novo-Irkutsk CHP Plant are described. Test data for the boiler fired with different types of coal are analyzed. Based on the long-term experience of successful operation of the boiler, recommendations are formulated on the use of circular-furnace boilers at new large power units and installing them in the existing boiler bays instead of overage boilers.
