Improving the vibration reliability of NPP turbines by stiffening their LPCs after dynamic tests

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

Dynamic test data for unstiffened and stiffened low-pressure cylinders (LPCs) of the K-750-65/3000 turbine- generator set are presented. An analysis of the vibration characteristics of stiffened LPCs during startup and on-load operation shows a beneficial effect (especially at operating speed) of the measures taken.
