When the standard brackets for flanged connectors are removed during repair or during measurements of the centering of the rotors relative to the sleeves, the connecting bolts and associated apertures in the sleeves are often damaged. In order to increase vibrational reliability, reduce the time spent, and cause less damage in the bore of the sleeves, it is proposed that the flange connectors be assembled with the aid of tapered bushings, pins, and hydraulic extraction of the brackets.
