Efficiency of use of granulated chitosan in the complex process of water conditioning at thermal power plants

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

Abstract

The possibility of the use of chitosan, which possesses high sorption activity with respect to inorganic and organic contaminants of natural waters and industrial runoff, in the complex process of water conditioning at thermal power plants is considered. It is shown that only granulated chitosan is suitable for the process of water conditioning under industrial conditions. A flow line for granulation is described.
