Abstract
Experience of operation of a K-800-240-5 turbine of the Berezovskaya State Regional Power Plant-1 is used for considering the problems of reliability of low-pressure cylinders (LPC), their interaction with condenser, and vibration instability due to heat-induced deformations of supports. Experimental data for the “LPC - condenser” system obtained under field conditions are presented. Suggestions on improving the structure and the operating process of LPC of K-800-240-5 turbines are made.
