Abstract

Results are given of calculations of velocity fields and time characteristics of flow of aluminum melt in a sand-loam casting mold. The microcontroller timer developed for the purpose is used to obtain experimental data on time characteristics of flowing (moving) melt. Comparison is made of experimental and theoretical data for different options of space grid of moving melt being simulated.
