Glasses with the compositions Bi4(Si x Ge1 – x )3O12(x = 0.33, 0.5, 0.66 and 1.00) and glass ceramic materials based on them were obtained. The effect of the batch composition and heat-treatment regimes on the spectral characteristics of these materials was determined.
