Weibull-Gnedenko Distribution Parameters for Mechanical Characteristics of Single Aramid Arn Filaments After Treatment with Low-Concentration Carbon Nanotube Suspension

Weibull-Gnedenko distribution parameters for single filaments of copolymeric para-aramid fiber after treatment of its surface with a low-concentration aqueous suspension of oxidized carbon nanotubes are determined by nonparametric statistical methods. It is shown that the strength characteristics of original filaments and filaments treated with carbon nanotube suspension belong to the same general population. A new effect of increase of linear density of single filaments due to treatment of the fiber surface with low-concentration carbon nanotube suspension is detected.
