Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

The influence of the preliminary enzymatic treatment of kraft pulp with lipase on the results of the subsequent chemical bleaching with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of alkali was studied. Based on the experimental data, a model has been built that determines the dependence of the Kappa number on the duration and temperature of the enzyme treatment, as well as on the concentration of the enzyme. It was found that the temperature of the enzymatic treatment with lipase has the greatest effect on the degree of delignification.
