Technology of Braided Goods Manufacture from Ftorlon Sewing Threads of Provisional Trademark 3F

  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Development of optimum technological parameters of manufacture of Ftorlon (fluorine-containing polymeric) sewing threads of provisional trademark 3F and braided goods therefrom is discussed. Analysis of the experimental data shows that Ftorlon sewing thread has a very high strength of 2058 cN and a very low imbalance of 1.27 turns/m in the first twisting of 500 twists/m in the S direction and in the second twisting of 520 twists/m in the Z direction. Braids with a complex structure and high strength characteristics are produced from 16, 20, and 24 sewing threads.
