A semiempirical investigtion of a model for the complex formed by fibroin with 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropan-2-ol

  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

The PMZ semiempirical quantum-chemical method has been used in analyzing the structure and parameters of solvate complexes in models of the biopolymer fibroin formed with the organic solvent 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropan-2-ol. The hexapeptide H[-Ser-Gly-Ala-Gly-Ala-Gly-]H is used as a model for the ordered parts of the fibroin.
