Modeling of the air filtration rate in needlepunch materials

Abstract

Interpretation of the physical sense of models for predicting the air filtration rate in needlepunch materials is a function of the approach selected for estimating the permeability and structural parameter. The generally accepted approach to assessing the effect of the structure of porous bodies on their permeability on the porosity factor is unacceptable in describing airflow in needlepunch materials. For this purpose, use of the filling factor of needlepunch materials is optimum.
