Abstract
An algorithm for a statistical simulation model that executes the scale effect of the strength characteristics of textile fibres and a mathematical model of the effect of the clamping length on the breaking load of the samples were constructed. Based on the results of semicyclic tensile testing, a method was developed for estimating additional indexes (average breaking load of the weakest links of the tested fibre sample, average breaking load of a sample whose clamping length approaches zero, rate parameter of the model, and relative index of the nonuniformity of the strength over the length of the fibre) characterizing the nonuniformity of the strength over the length of textile fibres.
