Ballooning in spinning textile-metal fibre

  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Abstract

Analytical expressions for the contact load and tensions of the components that ensure the equilibrium structure of textile-metal fibres in the spinning conditions are reported. Differential equations for contour movement of a rotating fibre were obtained and solved; using the experimental data, the fibre tension in the balloon was calculated.
