Analysis and Estimation of the Fundamental Kinematic and Thermal Parameters in Spinning Fibres from Polymer Melts

Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Abstract

Algebraic expressions were obtained with an analytical model of spinning for the length of the spinning path, the coordinate corresponding to the maximum of the fibre longitudinal velocity gradient, the maximum absolute value of the longitudinal velocity gradient, and the change in the relative temperature of the fibre over the spinning path. The dependences of these quantities on the heat transfer parameter and draw ratio were determined.
