A New Chloro-Containing γ-Butyrolactone from the Mangrove Endophytic Fungus Neofusicoccum parvum Y2NBKZG1016

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

A new chloro-containing γ-butyrolactone derivative 1, together with eight known metabolites (2–9), were isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus Neofusicoccum parvum Y2NBKZG1016. Its structure was identified as (4S,5S,6S,7R)-4-(3-chloro-1,2-dihydroxybutyl)-butyrolactone (1) by spectral data and chemical method. The otoprotective effects of all compounds and the ability of 1 to inhibit the release of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) from RAW264.7 were determined.
