A New Geranylated Lignan from Oenanthe javanica and Anti-Inflammatory Activity

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

A new geranylated lignan, named 8′-geranylated lignan A (1), and a known lignan (2) were isolated from Oenanthe javanica (Blume) DC., to our knowledge, for the first time. Compounds 1 and 2 were determined by analyzing their extensive spectral data and comparing them with related references. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibited anti-inflammatory activities with IC50 values of 15.24 ± 0.39 μM and 20.07 ± 0.54 μM, which displayed stronger NO inhibitory activities than the positive control (L-NMMA, IC50 = 44.52 ± 0.71 μM).
