New Crown Ether of Mahonia fortunei

A new 24-crown 8-ether, namely mahoniafortunin (1) was isolated from the leaves of Mahonia fortunei (Lindl.) Fedde (Berberidaceae). The structure of the new crown ether was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence.
