Lectin-like proteins (LLP) from Cuscuta europaea parasitizing Alhagi L. were isolated and characterized. They were found to exhibit dose-dependent cytotoxic activity against various passaged cell lines. Combined action of LLP50 and etoposide and colchicine suggested that the LLP50 affected primarily the S-period of cell division.
