A phytochemical investigation of the ethanol extract of Kopsia fruticosa resulted in the isolation of two new indole alkaloids, 3-oxo-11,12-dimethoxy-N1-decarbomethoxy-14,15-didehydrochanofruticosinate (1) and 11,12-dimethoxydanuphylline (2). Their structures were established on the basis of extensive chromatographic properties and chemical and physicochemical methods.
