A New Aristolactam Alkaloid from Liriodendron tulipifera

A new aristolactam alkaloid, tulipine A, was isolated from the leaves of Liriodendron tulipifera (Magnoliaceae). The structure of the new aristolactam alkaloid was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence.
