Pectinic Substances from Ferula kuhistanica and F. tenuisecta

Highly esterified pectinic substances were isolated from the plant species Ferula kuhistanica and F. tenuisecta. Their physicochemical characteristics were determined. Acid hydrolysis of the pectinic substances produced a galacturonan consisting only of D-galacturonic acids.
