A New Cyclodemethylanhydroicaritin from Extraction of Epimedium wushanense and Evaluation of Its Biological Activities

A new flavonol, cyclodemethylanhydroicaritin, was isolated from Epimedium wushanense T. S. Ying after acid hydrolysis. Its thermal stability and antioxidant activity were determined. The structure of the compound was determined to be 3,5,4′-trihydroxy-6″,6″-dimethyl-dihydropyrano-(2″,3″:7,8)-flavone. The thermal stability of cyclodemethylanhydroicaritin was observed to be good, and its antioxidant activity was significant.
