  1. We also experimented with the replacing the Cantwell variable by the vote share for Democratic candidates in US House races across the ten different districts. Our key results do not change. We believe Cantwell vote share is superior proxy for tract-level liberal mobilization because (Goodell 2018) it is a more consistent measure since the senate race is uniform across the state and (White 2018) in District 10, two Democrats ran against each other.

  2. We also modeled interaction effects between Cantwell vote share and the White and Hispanic/Latinx categories. Our substantive results about the effect of TV ads on voting do not change. The interactions were both significant but the magnitude of each effect was small.
