Abstract
The paper reports on the first results of apparatus for converging cylindrical shock wave in water (SHOW device). The first part of this paper describes parameters of the corona-like multi-streamer discharge. In the second part there are reported the first experimental results of a combined schlieren/shadow diagnostic. The experiment is aimed at investigation of time-development of the pressure field of shock wave, determination of the dimension of shock-wave-focus, and estimate of the pressure amplitude in the shock-wave-focus.
