Abstract
Structural and magnetic stability of the amorphous (Co0.94Fe0.06)72.5Si12.5B15 wire has been investigated by the magnetic after-effect spectroscopy. Activation parameters of the relaxation in the as-cast wire are Q*=1.62 eV and τ0=7x10−17 s. Annealing suppresses short-time relaxation by annealing-out free volumes, but still some free volume remains in the sample and contributes to the irreversible relaxation. This can be seen during long-time experiments.
