Structural, magnetic and transport properties of Er(Co1−xGex)2 compounds

Czechoslovak Journal of Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

We present results of x-ray, electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements on Er(Co1−xGex)2 compounds. The lattice volume is almost composition invariable for 0<x<0.05. Substituting Ge for Co yields a dramatic increase of the magneticordering temperature T c . This effect is similar to Er(Co1−xSix)2 substitution.
