Abstract

Magnetomechanical properties of the strips cut from the Fe64Ni10Nb3Cu1Si13B9 amorphous alloy ribbons were measured in as-quenched state and after annealing for 1 h in vacuum from 350 to 550°C. The maximum values of the magnetomechanical coupling coefficient (k m=0.62) were obtained after annealing at 470–490°C. After annealing at 500°C the magnetomechanical coupling coefficient dropped to 0.45. After heat treatment at 550°C a crystalline structure was formed, and the magnetomechanical coupling vanished.
