Stabilization of detonation for any incoming mach numbers

  • Published:
Combustion, Explosion, and Shock Waves Aims and scope

Abstract

Stability of rotating detonation with different velocities of the incoming mixture in a combustion chamber consisting ot two coaxial cylinders is studied experimentally and theoretically. The detonation is demonstrated to stabilize at velocities both higher and lower than the Chapman-Jouguet detonation velocity.
