Palladium-Catalyzed Carbonylative Cyclization of β-Bromo-α,β-Unsaturated Ketones Leading to Alkylidenefuranones

Abstract

β-Bromo-α,β-unsaturated ketones are carbonylatively cyclized to (Z)-alkylidenefuranones in good yields under carbon monoxide pressure in DMF in the presence of a catalytic amount of a palladium catalyst along with Et3N.
