Abstract
The insoluble Wilkinson catalyst RhCl[P(m-C6H4SO3)Na)3]3 changes from inert to very active by supported on mesoporous material SBA-15, and the catalyst is stable, easy to separate from products, clean, and can be reused directly. This catalyst combines the advantages of homogeneous catalysts and heterogeneous catalysts very well.

The complex RhCl(TPPTS)3 was synthesised using method similar to the supported catalyst, 0.06 mmol TPPTS was added to 10 ml water, then 0.01 mmol Rh2 (CO) 4 Cl2 was added to the solution, after 1 hours stirring, the complex was dried with a rotatory evaporator and then in a vacuum oven at 323 K for 10 hours.
