Abstract
An approach to formalizing the procedure of allocation of technical devices among monitoring objects based on the theory of fuzzy sets is presented. The possibility of using a reference description of the signatures of monitoring objects as a part of fuzzy monitoring indicators to determine the phase states of the objects is analyzed.
