Plans are underway for the 16th Biannual Congress of the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (ISCP) in Viña del Mar, Chile, December 3–6, 2011. This international meeting will be held in conjunction with the Chilean Society of Cardiology and will be under the local leadership of Professor Edgardo Escobar.

ISCP is also collaborating with other national and regional societies to bring pharmacologic input into their programming. Joint scientific sessions are being planned with the Inter-American Congress of Cardiology in Cartagena, Columbia in March 2011, The Heart Rhythm program in London in April 2011, the Asian Pacific Congress of Cardiology in Kuala Lumpur in May 2011, and the European Society of Cardiology in August 2011.

This vigorous schedule of educational programs reflects ISCP’s renewed effort to extend our educational reach aimed at enhancing appropriate cardiovascular drug use worldwide.

These meetings are supplemented by our expanded website, www.iscpcardio.org. We urge all members and potential members to take advantage of these educational sources, as well as our journal, in staying abreast of new cardiovascular pharmaco-therapeutic science.
