Solid Waste Incineration Furnace with Catalytic Neutralization of Combustion Products

  • INDUSTRIAL ECOLOGY
  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

The design and operation of a furnace for the incineration of solid industrial and household waste are described. A peculiarity of the furnace is the application of catalytic neutralization of high-temperature gaseous combustion products upon their filtering through a catalyst representing a fixed layer of granular solid particles. The results of experiments on the neutralization of combustion products are presented. A method for calculating the main thermohydraulic characteristics of a furnace operated under the conditions of chimney effect is proposed.
